Toyota has continually taken major steps to become a more responsive, customer-focused organization, as well as strengthen its leadership in automotive quality, safety and innovation. Toyota has ten new or updated models this year, including the new Prius v. It also will release six new hybrid vehicles to the market by 2012, including the plug-in electric hybrid Prius. Toyota is also working on a zero emission RAV4 electric vehicle due next year. Toyota also puts safety first, and has invested $50 million to launch a new Safety Research Center in MI, which is focused on reducing traffic fatalities. Community impact also ranks high on Toyota’s list. They have created around 200,000 American jobs.
